history

The Don Baylor 65 Roses Memorial Classic began 45 years ago as a golf tournament benefiting the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. In 2017, the event was renamed to honor founding chairman Don Baylor, for his dedication to helping those living with cystic fibrosis. Co-chairmen Doug DeCinces and Bobby Grich stepped into the role of event co-chairman to honor their fellow Angel teammate and to continue the fight against cystic fibrosis. Over the years the tournament has grown and the event has evolved to include a dinner gala, program, and live auction. While the event has evolved, the mission has stayed the same - to find a cure for all those living with cystic fibrosis. This year, we are back and excited to continue our momentum forward to present to you an amazing one-day event with a golf tournament and awards dinner on Sunday, September 22, 2024. As a tradition, the day will begin with a golf tournament at Strawberry Farms Golf Club, followed by a sunset cocktail reception with an exciting silent auction. Enjoy a delicious dinner, an incredible program with event speakers, and an exhilarating live auction. We can’t wait to see you at the 45th Don Baylor 65 Roses Memorial Classic!
